My name is Benjamin Spangler, and I am a student at Colorado State University Pueblo. I also performed research for the CIERA REU at Northwestern University.

My research at Northwestern focused on determining temperatures of gases near the center of our galaxy. In an effort to better understand how and where this gas is interacting with the supermassive black hole (SMBH) at the center of our galaxy, Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*).
